  1. Hi, guys.

Glad you got back to the topic of Intel. I knew there was something I wanted to comment on Thursday, but by the time I got home, I’d forgotten what it was. (And yes, my MP3 player does have a “record” feature, but I wasn’t going to try to use it to make myself a note while driving in the rain.)

My strongest association with the “Intel Inside” slogan comes from a joke I heard shortly after the floating point debacle, while I was still a Mac user:

Q: What’s that little “Intel Inside” sticker for?
    A: Truth in advertising.

I think you make good points about the overall change at Intel and the need for a more Apple-friendly slogan, but I have to say I’m underwhelmed by both the new logo and “Leap Ahead.” I hope the actual corporate changes will be more interesting.

And happy anniversary to FIR! I went back and listened to Show #1, and was impressed at how professional you both sounded from the very beginning.

  2. Hi Shel and Neville,

First of all, congratulations on the 100 episodes and the 1 year anniversary.

FIR was the first podcasts I ever listened to, and is still my nr.1!

Hey, you guys even “lit a blogging flame for me” and that, after 4 months of preparations (yes that’s long, but I do have 2 kids running around!), has resulted in http://www.shapingthoughts.com. Of course, you are quite welcome to check it out.

To really cheer up your party, I have fully dedicated my second post ever to For Immediate Release, providing a short review and of course sending some nice words in your direction.

Looking forward to the next hundred!

    Warm regards,

    Marcel de Ruiter
