  1. Thanks for covering our mention in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.  I’m the social media team lead at Monsanto, reporting to Glynn. I was in Las Vegas at the Ragan conference the day the reporter was in for the interview, so i don’t exist in the article. 

    To answer your question about why we chose to go with a wordpress hosted blog, your guess was right.  Our current website doesn’t have any blog hosting capabilities, and rather than wait the months/years until we could get something up and running internally now.  We felt we needed to get involved in the conversation. We had already waited long enough. 

    A small point of correction to the Post article, we don’t have 6 dedicated bloggers.  The 6 bloggers who have already had posts published on the site are all members of our internal communications and issues management teams.  They’re contributing to the blog in addition to their normal job responsibilities.
